Dermal Fillers
What are Dermal Fillers?
The type of dermal fillers we use are hyaluronic acid based. The medication is versatile and will dissipate over time. Hyaluronic acid exists naturally in all living organisms and our skin houses the majority of hyaluronic acid in the body. Dermal fillers are carbohydrate molecules and the primary function is to provide volume, hydration, and pliability.
What areas can Dermal Fillers treat?
Dermal fillers are primarily used to treat static wrinkles. Static wrinkles are present when the face is at rest and might not have a muscular origin.
They are commonly used to treat:
- Smile lines (nasolabial folds)
- Downturned oral commissures (corners of the mouth)
- Marionette lines
- Lip Enhancement
